Variety of walnut Iargara

The mid-size tree with scarce round crown. The branches come off the stem at the angle of 60-90 degrees. Rind of the tree stem and scaffold branches is slightly chinked. Sprouts are of mid size, straight, brown. Leaves are elliptical, dull, smooth, dark green.

Blooms are of mid-size, pyxidate, odorous. The blossoming type is protogynous. Pistillate flowers blossom within 1-15 May. Pollenizers: Brichansky, Peschansky.

The mid-size fruits, oblong, without edges. The nutshell is of mid hardness, light-brown; peel separability - mid . The kernel is cream-coloured, well-filled up to 80%, easy separable, with the kernel yield exceeding 51%. This is notable for its high annual yield comparing to the most prospective regionalized local breed.

The breed is dessert, suitable for processing in food & confectionary industry and as ready-to-use product. Harvesting time: between10th and 25th September. The nuts are consumed from mid September within 1 or 2 years. The breed is drought- and temperature-resistant, there were no damages observed at low temperatures. The tree might be insignificantly affected by marsony during humid summers. No damages caused by pests have been observed.
